Students from the University of Georgia’s Informatics Department had the valuable opportunity to publicly defend their bachelor’s and master’s theses. All submitted works were evaluated by a competent jury consisting of leading specialists in the field of informatics. Third Annual Conference on Prevention and Management of Poisoning and Traumatic Injuries

On July 15–16, the School of Health Sciences of the University of Georgia hosted the international event — the “Third Annual Conference on Prevention and Management of Poisoning and Traumatic Injuries.” Among the organizers were the Caucasus Medical Center, the Institute for Global and European Health Education and Studies, the University of Georgia, and the Georgian Emergency Medicine Physician Association. As part of the ongoing collaboration between the University of Georgia and Emory University, Professor and Toxicologist Ziad Kazi delivered approximately ten public lectures and presented several papers. He addressed topics including drug and radiation poisoning, as well as updated preventive measures during the pandemic. The event is intended for practicing Georgian physicians and students interested in the healthcare field. Its goal is to promote experience-sharing and integration with international innovations. Doctors who participated in the conference received certificates confirming their qualifications in the field, while attending students were awarded certificates of participation.
